IRAS Introduces New "Review Article" Format and Updated Author Guidelines

Diogo Pereira,

The International Review of Administrative Sciences (IRAS), IIAS leading scientific journal, is pleased to announce an update to its authors’ guidelines, including the introduction of a new article format: the "review article." This format allows authors to provide a comprehensive overview of the state of the art in current debates, focusing on the theoretical contributions within a specific topic.

Review articles should offer a thorough analysis of relevant published material, discussing the various strands of knowledge, their implications, and identifying any remaining gaps in the field. These articles are expected to adhere to the same scientific principles as research articles, with the main difference being a focus on theory rather than empirical research. Submissions are limited to 7,000 words, including all elements such as the title page, abstract, references, tables, and figures.

In addition to this new format, IRAS continues to publish symposia and special issues, and is now welcoming new proposals for these themed editions. Authors interested in submitting a review article or proposing a special issue are encouraged to refer to the updated guidelines for full details.
